Storm over Port Stephens

It's always a relief for me that the flashes I see are lightning and not my eyes deteriorating.  I caught a glimpse of the lightning when I was at the baths and turned around back to Nobbys.  I nearly had a heart attack when they fired the guns at Fort Scratchley just behind me.  3 times mind you.  The lightning was so far away I couldn't hear any thunder so maybe those wags at the Fort were doing the acoustics for the storm.
