This proud young man is my Euphling, wearing the seniors' uniform of the Newtongrange Silver Band for the first time.

We were playing at the mining museum, previously the Lady Victoria mine, for the lighting of the ceremonial beacon on the wheel tower.

I was so proud to see him in the band, and I think his big sister was too.
