The Casanova Puffin

I've just had a fantastic day. Drove over to Oban for a one of Turus Mara's (www.turusmara.com) day trips to Staffa & Lunga. Staffa is a fascinating island with it's basalt columns and Fingal's Cave is very impressive.
As impressive as Staffa is, Lunga is the real jewel of this trip. The island is full of little puffins. For the first part of the island they are mainly on the top of the cliffs, but a little further on they have their burrows a bit further inland. Spending a couple of hours watching the as the fly past your ears is definitely one of the best watsto spend an afternoon. The little guy above with the flower in his beak was taking cuteness to a whole new level!

Here's a link to some of the other photos from my trip - https://picasaweb.google.com/bainmb/StaffaLunga?authuser=0&feat=directlink
