Homeless Protest
A night out in Manchester to the Royal Exchange to see a production of The Ghost Train. I wasn't particulary taken with the idea before hand but then found out that it was written by Arnold Ridley AKA Godfrey in Dads Army, one of my favourite TV characters ever.
I'd forgotten how much I enjoy going to the theatre as it was a wonderfully staged production.
Meanwhile outside in St Annes Square there was a protest against the lack of affordable housing in Manchester with people camping out in the square.
It seems to be the case that the financial success of a city and the growing problem with lack of affordable housing go hand in hand.
