Where's my mate

We have a pair of Pheasants live in our garden, when I went out this evening Mr Pheasant was happy to wait and see if I was going to put some food out for him. Mrs Pheasant ran off down the paddock. Think Mr was trying to tell her it was safe to come back up the field.
