Stairwell at the Old Town Hall, Stroud
CleanSteve was part of a team making a presentation to the Civic Society. I went along for the setting-up, and stayed all evening. At one point, before the talk began, I nipped out to the stairwell, where I had noticed an interesting stained glass window. It turned out that there were two, at right angles to each other, and a beamed ceiling.
The talk over, we repaired to the Ale House in John Street, another of Stroud's good bars, in a listed building. As we'd been discussing architecture and the good things about our unique town.
