i-Trees

En route to my destination this evening, I noticed this in the centre of All Saints Park, off Oxford Rd.

It is a mini experiment monitoring the way in which trees and vegetation and asphalt surfaces absorb water, and so are likely to deal with climate change and wetter summers. So there are three plots of equal size - one with a tree and tree pit, one asphalt, and one grassed.

Well, this is University land.
