Turn Around - Don't Drown

aAfter 4 years of extremely low rainfall and very high temperatures - culminating in a catastrophic stage 5 drought with combined lake levels hovering at 20% and a desperate city spending gobs of money on a water recycling plant that enables them to clean the sewer water and send it back out as drinking water :0/  ...there are "pray for rain" signs everywhere you look.  
It seems that the prayers have been answered - this weeks catch phrase is "Turn Around Don't Drown"...(don't cross flooded roadways)...but apparantly not everyone is listening.  And subsequently many people put themselves in harms way trying to rescue those who think their truck is big enough for anything :0)
This was on a highway which was flooded by water from last nights torrential rain.  
The city has mandatory flood evacuations set for tomorrow - anyone care if I turn my hose on now?  LOL

adding another pond pic for today just to remember - the pond has now reached the top of the dam and Mr Tex has had to cut a channel to let some of the water out so it won't go over and risk taking out the dam.
