Sunlit Squirrel
B and I visited Rushmere Country Park (Stockgrove end), Nr Leighton Buzzard today. We went early this morning armed with cameras, birdseed and dried mealworms! We spent a happy couple of hours snapping away at the surprising number and variety of wildlife that visited, and then meandered through the dappled oak wood enjoying the beautiful sunshine and blue skies. The spring growth was verdant and abundant, bluebells and red campion sprinkled the woodland floor and the air was filled with birdsong...magical!!
The extra photo includes one of a pair of nuthatch that was enjoying the feast!
