the nook

Back in York today and off to one of my lunchtime haunts for a coffee and cake. I've mentioned before that I love people watching (from a photography point of view, not as a stalker) and my coffee habit feeds my need for blipfotos. The Nook on Castlegate is a wonderfully quirky place with some great blues music as a backdrop and I've never failed to get a table. Today, I was the only person in - so no photos of fellow coffee imbibers and I had to point my camera at the wall. This wonderful image goes from the floor to the ceiling but I've had to crop it because the sofa I was sitting on is in the way and I could have done with the light being turned off on the left hand side. Some of the artwork on the walls is for sale and that is similarly quirky which makes it all the more tempting for me.
Thanks for the stars for yesterday's blip by the way. Don't think I'll ever make it into the 'Popular' section of blipfoto, but that one did seem to go down fairly well. Must make more trips to London, such a rich source of material.
