Callendar House

We had a wee jaunt to Falkirk this morning.  MrsCyclops had a work meeting there, so I provided transport and went for a nice walk around Callendar house with BabyCyclops.

We touched lots of different type of leaves and bark to see what different trees felt like.  We watch mummy coots feeding tiny cootlings.  We compared real swans with the swan pedalos.  We visited a working 19th century kitchen - usually in old houses they are cold but they keep a fire lit in this one so it's lovely and warm.  We wandered round exhibitions on the Antonine wall and local history.  I pointed out a ZX spectrum - my first computer.

BabyCyclops was good as gold and babbled chattily throughout.  A lovely little break from my work day!
