This is our village 'sign', on the roundabout, at the entrance to the built up area.
The roundabout has had a mixed history....
First of all there was a lovely fountain, but the spray used to get blown across the road and cause some safety problems, especially for motor bikes, scooter and bicycles....
The fountain was removed, leaving a large pool of water, again, it was decorative...but some local children poured washing up liquid into the pool.....making it into a giant foam bath!...what fun!
The pool was filled in....there's no fountain or water...and we have a lovely selection of plants!
and the giant letters have been installed .....
So, now...we all know where we are!! ALBIR!
