Proud mummy moment

Today was run a mile at school to raise money. Kids basically run round the school 5 times (for distance of mile) and there's a medal for those that come 1st, 2nd and 3rd from each primary's boys/girls.

I had been asking Alfie how the practice runs had been going and hadn't really got much response than 'ok' so when I went along to support him I wasn't expecting too much......

I was mega surprised !!!!! He came first out of the boys and all of the p1 class ....I could not be prouder!!

Although have to admit during the run I hadn't been paying too much attention to how far ahead he was and it was only when one of the other mums who was a mate started saying to me that Alfie was coming in on his last lap and he was first!!!!!

A great start to the day followed by lunch at a local Chinese buffet with kids playing nicely in play park and then the day was tipped off by pizza/chocolate pudding round at a mates house with her kids and mind - again playing happily .... Kids finally exhausted and in bed for 930 .... A lovely lie in tomorrow morning would be perfect :-)
