Many Happy Returns

We returned to Wales on my Birthday.  Left before lunch on what should have been a six hour trip.  Arrived as it got dark :-(    Planned tea of Fish and Chips on the Prom turned into pizza in the car at Welshpool.  Good job we ate then because not long after we got caught in the days final traffic jam madness, a 3 mile tailback from some very badly timed roadwork traffic lights.  We queued for the first mile and a half ... took around 30 minutes before turning back to look for a comfort stop.  Struck lucky at the garage in Llanfair Caereinion where a local lad on his way back to Uni in Aberystwyth offered to lead us over the mountain back roads.  His act of kindness saved us an hour or more on what was already an epic adventure!  

No light for a Welsh blip now so here are some cards, seems that Ruth shares a sense of humour with Jacinta's best friend, both cards made me smile.  I'll leave you to work out the Polar Bear punchline :-)
