Goodbye New York

Our last day.  Luckily our flight was in the evening so we were able to enjoy our last day.  We went to the Metropolitan Museum, just saw a few things the place is so huge!  nearly met up with Marilyn, who weirdly was there at the same time... but somehow the place  was so huge we didn't manage to rendezvous.  

Loved the Egyptian part of the museum and the Frank Lloyd Wright room.

Then off for a last NY lunch with Paul, packed up and left for the airport and said sad goodbyes.

While in New York I became a bit obsessed with the fire hydrants/standpipes.... once you start noticing them you realise they are all slightly different and some are quite quirky, so my last pic from NY had to be a standpipe .... you can see my collection of them here if you want to...
