Oyster Catcher

Today we went to Castle Cornet as part of the celebrations for the Jubilee.
Jonathan was involved in the living history display as the son of an Elizabethan courtier, and spent the day playing Elizabethan games and interacting with the visitors.
We arrived in time for the 21 gun salute, one of only 10 happening outside of London.
We then picniced in the grounds despite the rain.
On our walk round the castle walls after lunch we came across this very tame Oyster-Catcher that let us come within 2 metres of it.
Now resting at home before heading to school to set-up for the Holiday Club that starts tomorrow.
