Best in Town
If you come to Iceland, this is the place to get a hot dog. It's been operating since 1937 and The Guardian said in 2006 that this was the best hot dog stand in Europe. To get there just pass the red house on the corner and walk towards the harbor.
I always have my hot dog with mustard, nothing else, because this place has a special blend of Icelandic and Dijon mustard. When Bill Clinton visited Iceland he ordered his hot dog just with mustard and since then it's called "Clinton" but not "Egilsson" or "Jon's hot dog" and I have been eating here the last 60 years.
In the background you can see Ingo and the house of the supreme court and The National Theater of Iceland. Near is Rammagerdin where tourist buy Icelandic "lopapeysur" but be aware they can be made in China.
More about Iceland's oddities is here and you MUST look at the video.
