Solace Day 4

We awoke to a wet, no very wet morning.  However we aren't prepared to let  trivia like that get in the way!  So it was on with the water proofs and off  we went.  Actually it was only myself and "The mate" who were out in the weather the rest of the crew Katkatkat, G and Clickychick were able to stay below.  However I must be fair and admit G and Katkatkat were out at the first hint of a lock and faster to get there than I was.

We decided in view of the weather to turn a little early and start to head
 back towards the marina.  So after filling up with water at Middlewich  we found a "winding hole" (the canal isn't wide enough to turn in) and started back. The shot is of Kings lock with Solace just ready to leave and the pub in the background.  This is just south of junction with the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union canal.

We made another overnight stop in the country before we reached the built up area around Sandbach.
