Dismissed

The weekend can't start until Sal's been dismissed from gym. Although, in a shock new move, Sal has decided it's time to take a break from training 10-12 hours a week, so this may or may not be the last time she lines up to 'present' with a flourish and be dismissed by the Coach.

I've got mixed feelings about her stopping. She gets huge pleasure out of her strength and agility, she loves her squad-mates and, in a funny sort of way, I'll miss the routine of taking her there and picking her up. I won't miss the coaches shouting at the girls 'Oy, yous lot!', the sheer panic of being one minute late, Sally constantly asking me the time as she stresses about being late, the exorbitant cost of leotards and spending days at comps nervously hoping she won't fall off the beam.

Sal's decision though: 100%. And whether she continues or stops we're incredibly proud of her.
