Cranefly

The moth catch this mornng was not so interesting so my attention turned to some of the other organisms in the light trap. In addition to many Cockchafers, a couple of Sexton Beetles and a Caddisfly there was this rather striking cranefly, probably Tipula lunata. I've never noticed the beautiful green eyes before.
