The "new" church

The "old" one was a ruin and this rather ostentatious version is dubbed the "new" church by the residents of Ayot St Lawrence, our Hertfordshire walking spot today.

We completed a lovely 6-miler, swathed with bluebells, and an interesting old railway line path en route. The finale was a slap-up Sunday roast at the Brocket Arms in the village - followed by apple crumble and custard!
