Return Trip to the Kinema

Last night we were kept awake by a police helicopter and dozens of police cars milling everywhere to the background of a thump-thump-thumping base note - despite roasting with our Travelodge window closed. Seems there was an illegal rave being held at the nearby Twyford Wood, with police drafted to Lincolnshire from as far afield as Harrogate to help quell the 'revellers'.

Today we covered miles to drive a roundabout route to pick up our daughter from 'just down the road' as the police had closed off so many roads in the area. We headed off to Downtown for some essential clothes shopping (!) and thence back to Woodhall Spa to show Miss PP the kinema in the woods that we discovered a couple of days ago.

This time it was open so we had a look round inside. (Next time we hope to plan things a bit better and attend a film!) Couldn't decide whether to show you the lifesize Dalek, the old movie-pictures and art deco mirrors in the 'Ladies' or me and Humphrey Bogart - so you've got three for the price of one!

We had another lovely lunch in the restaurant nearby (where we ate two days ago) and then set off 'home'. Delays again as many roads are still closed off by police. Ex-revellers still wandering around and general mayhem among the may blossom, with cars abandoned alongside the A1. (See extra photo!) And here's an online report.
