The Queen Never ....

One of the artists opening their home or studio to the public during Norfolk 'Open Studios' is Vince Laws who is a poet, artist, performer and campaigner who I've got to know through Norwich Pride. A friend drove us out to his home in one of the villages a bit of a way out from Norwich and it was wonderful to see many of his artworks all in the same place.

I fell in love with his large, wild-ish garden which is really magical - bits of artwork hidden in amongst beautiful wild flowers and would love to go back and have a real, indulgent session with my camera. Further details of Vince's work, including some of his poetry, can be found at www.iamapoem.com

This shot shows one of the many 'blue plaques' Vince has created and is offering for sale at £20 each - they are all different, all witty, funny and proving very popular.

I took several photos today in fact but when I got the message that the memory card was full and images were being stored to internal memory I kind of froze as - stupid as this may seem - I don't know how to get images off internal memory. The cable that came with the camera gives out a mysterious message that isn't helpful at all. I think a trip to a friendly camera shop is called for.

I've cleared out a LOT of images from the memory card now ....

A uke society member sent one of the photos I took to the bbc jubilee images website and it's on there, which is nice. One of these days I'll have a photo in a public website of newspaper with a credit against it.

Back to the day job tomorrow. It's been a great weekend.
