The Humble Leaf

While we were away last week, the beech hedge started to unfurl its leaves.  I wanted to record the event and eventually decided this was an occasion to look at individual leaves before they became absorbed into the whole structure.

I was pleased to have captured the light on the folds as it emerged and before it starts to stretch and darken.
