at home with an Ivysaurus

Helping mummy

Ivy made an attempt to change Briar all by herself today, but was defeated by the poppers on the vest, so just placed the clean nappy on top of her sister and declared 'all finished'.

Ivy was hard work today, she woke up very early so we put her in bed with first Euan, then me but she never really recovered her sleep deficit and spent the day being very whingey. She doesn't trust us not to leave her again yet - which is hard. She wouldn't have an afternoon nap, because Euan left the room just as she was being put in her cot and I the end we gave up and Euan drove to stonehouse with her.

In the afternoon uncle Andrew came to visit with aurora and Donna, but ivy was too worried we going to leave her with uncle Andrew and disappear again she wouldn't let go our hands to play with aurora in the park and only cheered up when we all went back inside.

Briar is still doing well, apart from twice recreating the 'choking episode' from last week - when she's sick and arches her back right back screaming. It's horrible to watch, we suspect they'll say reflux - but it's happening a good hour or two after a feed so I don't know. Hopefully one of those things she'll grow out of. I was going to get her sister a Snuza monitor that clips to the nappy to monitor breathing, might end up getting Briar one too if she doesn't snap out of this terrifying habit.

Willow is much the same, looking more and more like briar now she's loosing the fluid. I got to hold her hand through the incubator today. No word on when she's being transferred back to Inverness yet sadly.
