A special place
Today I walked Daisy deep in Clumber woods for the first time, along one of the favourite trails that I loved to walk with Lucy. I wasn't that confident in her recall in a new place, especially as she can tear off in woodland in search of squirrels.
But I was drawn there. I have wanted to go back for some months now, and today it was time; six months since I adopted Daisy.
Daisy was so good, trotting along behind then in front of me, sniffing, pouncing and enjoying exploring the new places. She stopped whenever I stopped and ran to me every time I called her.
I could almost see and hear Lucy bouncing through the undergrowth beside us, ears flapping, sniffing and snorting, her tail wagging non- stop.
Loved that dog so much - love this one too.
