You Know You're becoming a shepherd when...

At 6:15 am this guy is at the ready, manliness apparent, OUTSIDE his paddock heading for the ewes...and my response was, huh, wonder how he got out....let me get some grain. As opposed to HOLY $&#%!!!! Got him safely into the barn, Peter let Remus out so I could shake the grain can and get him in too (no reason to have the big guy freaking out!). And voila, wasn't even late for breakfast.
