A Bit of November in the Middle of May

A lazy mid-afternoon drive took us up to Mt. Baker and the Snoqualmie National Park area where the sunny spring weather at sea level quickly, and abruptly turned into a dark and brooding November evening. Despite the fog, Picture Lake was picture perfect and included a peek-a-boo glimpse of the enormous mountain looming behind the clouds.
