Road Trip - Day 1

My daughter and I are driving from Yakima to Palm Springs so she can start her summer internship. Today we made it from our starting point to Newport, Oregon. It was decided we would take our time, visiting things of interest along the way. My choice was the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. It is a place I have driven by a least a hundred times, but never had the time to stop. Not so today. We got to see the powerhouse, shown here, by joining the last group tour of the day. Then we were back on the road.
