Snow on the Hills

The southerly that blasted me on the beach yesterday afternoon became a blizzard last night, coating much of the lower South Island with snow. We got a little on the Port Hills and Banks Peninsula too and our temperatures have plummeted. It's really winter now!
With winds gusting up to 130 kph on the Port Hills today I had a struggle holding onto the car door, as I got out of the car, and then back in again, to get some photos. It was quite a challenge!
