Samson the May Bug
Beautiful day here, so after dropping The Aphid off in town at a photography course this morning, we headed east for a change.
We stopped at Grouville Marsh somewhere we've meaning meaning to visit for ages. It was a perfect time to be there as there was hardly anyone about but there were lots of butterflies! The air smelt really sweet and the birds were singing, quite idyllic even though we weren't that far from the main road.
Rik spotted this May bug (cockchafer) on the path just near the car park and rescued it by putting it up a tree. More photos on Flickr.
Mono Monday today is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy lots of great entries this week!
