Avocet

We made our usual stop at the Martin Mere Wildfowl Trust on our way up to Lytham St Annes for the weekend.

They now have an "exotic" species section which appears to consist of a couple of Crested Cranes (which I have blipped previously on a visit to Chester Zoo) and a flock of Avocets.  I'm not quite sure why these are classed as "exotic" but it gave me a chance to get a few close-up shots so I'm not complaining.
