Cooper's Hill Cheese Roll & Wake

The annual 'unofficial' Cheese Rolling took place at/down Cooper's Hill today.  No fatalities or serious injuries but there were a few walking wounded!

There are Champion events, Lady's races and a child's Up Hill Race.  All winners are awarded a Cheese!

The event's origin is shrouded in the usual myth and mystery.  Some say it has been around since pagan times, there are records of it being run in the 1500's!  I am not sure where the Wake bit comes in though.....
