One man and his dog...

I paid a visit to my friend Adriaan on Saturday and we walked his land. He owns an old farm just up the valley from me and he has 70 odd acres of ancient farmland and hill pastures in his care.

It was a fascinated walk! Passing the remains of the cottage that once housed a white witch called Elsie, springs, an ancient burial mound, a holy well, the remains of an old Welsh Longhouse, hollow roads, drovers roads and ancient pathways.

And I haven't even mentioned the wildlife!!! I took almost a hundred photo's. Hard to choose but I liked this one of my friend pausing to take in the land, with his dog Frenchie.
