Dexter

Dave and Nora came up for the day to spend Memorial Day together. The plan was to go up to the mountain. Instead we had much needed rain all morning. So we stayed in and played Mexican Train. Helena was there too. I picked her up this morning so she could join the fun.

During the game I fed everybody some soup and bread. We played a full twelve rounds and then wondered what to do next. Nora wanted to go to REI so we all went there. She was thinking about getting a fitbit. We hung around there for awhile and then headed back home. Dave took a side road, and then another, and pretty soon we were actually heading up by a back road toward the mountain.

We didn't go all they way but stopped at the Beer Shrine for a very early dinner. Then home. Dave and Nora soon headed home and took Helena along so they could drop her home.

I took one photo today, this one of Dexter. He comes with Dave and Nora and was quite interested in befriending the cats. Duma was having none of it. He hid under the couch and that was the last we saw of him. Mehitabel first hid but then she came out. Dexter has not learned to be still and quiet so she found him troubling. Ears back, a bit of a growl. You could see she was interested though. We even held them both up and they did a bit of mutual sniffing but Mehitabel was really quite unsure about the whole thing. Maybe next visit they will bridge the gap.
