Lingering

In the last days of autumn the air is fresh and cold, icy winds come and go, Jack Frost pays a visit and leaves flurry to the ground.

It's just the rose which lingers as it petals fall one by one revealing the once yellow stamens now curling over with beauty and grace as it slowly fades.

It was a little warmer today, the wind was fresh but the ground was dry - a good day to mow the lawns and hang out the washing. A new recipe is slowly cooking away - Moroccan Lamb Shanks with lots of spices, dates, carrots, tomatoes, onion, garlic, it does smell delish!
