A waiting game
This Methodist Chapel built in 1882 stands forlorn and neglected on our main thoroughfare. By 1991 the congregation had fallen to five and the decision was taken to cease services. The building was sold to a private individual. It has no land, the only service supplied is electricity and the only access is the front door which has a tree growing in the tiny space as well as ladders and other rubbish. He refuses to make any effort to improve the street scene. It seems the village must patiently wait for his demise before this lovely building can gain self respect once more.
