The Black Horse Hotel, Salford Crescent

I never visited this Salford pub in its lifetime but have frequently passed it in its death throes. The "Pubs of Manchester" website says that "the Black Horse Hotel building, on the Crescent in Salford, was built in 1875.  As you can see from the images on this page, taken in May 2013, the pub is closed and boarded-up and has been for some time.  The Pevsner Guide draws attention to the carved keystones above the ground floor windows that feature blacksmithing tools, a horses' head, a satyr and Bacchus.  The Black Horse is one of 5 locally listed buildings within the Crescent Conservation Area.  It is designated as Grade A". Info (and more pics) taken from here.
