an explanation...
oops!...(that's the equivalent of sorry from me) about ranting yesterday but...you got to understand!
standards DO matter and it's our responsibility to make sure we do OUR bit...yesterday's images were a tiny example of what happens every day here...more and more people think it's OK to post images that belong to someone else (mostly tumblr?) and the realization that the famous "addictive" nature of blipfoto seems to be simply and  addiction to being seen and popular and not addiction to photography  ...

i was annoyed that a respected blipper - who's daily on the popular pages, not only welcomed AND complimented the "Chinese blipper" but failed to notice it was a sales pitch!?...when I told her...her argument was that as a photographer she didn't read the words (in this case mainly a link to a website) but only looks at the photos (in this case a  blurred photo scanned from a catalogue with copyright printed all across it!?...

then i realised that some people comment more to be seen (and get stars and hearts ) than a meaningful way to express/learn/discuss...

i'm rubbish at commenting mainly because I have little time (a working grandmother  who seems to disappear on a regular basis where wifi is hard to get...) but I find  that the quality of photos has somehow been diminished  by the sheer volume of  photos that get posted every day  this has also taken the pleasure of browsing...but as chrisphoto said: what about the positives? well the fact that offending images were removed means that somebody's still having a peep although it would be nice to get answers to questions/concerns...but more importantly those of you who really try to take the "foto" part of blip seriously and the fact that you care enough to read and respond to my rant is brilliant!?...before I disappear, I would like to meet you...and now i'm going to be a retired/unemployed grandmother(?) I would love it to happen... a blipmeet!?..."here" or "there"...have campervan...will travel...)

(phew!...don't they say: the longer the explanation the bigger the lie?...;-)
