Aero-Navale Museum

We had quite an early start and went on a tour of the Aero-Navale Museum at Rochefort, followed by lunch in the Ecole Gendarmerie. The museum was full of old aeroplanes, and our visit seemed to go on for a very long time, but lunch was really good!
The photo shows our guide, explaining how planes first landed on aircraft carriers, and used to sometimes fall in the sea, and a couple of the old planes. After looking at the big planes we found there were two rooms full of model planes, several of which were suspended from the ceiling just like my brothers had on their bedroom ceilings when we were kids!
