The Stalker

I went back to the park today and much to my delight, the Heron was there too.  I watched with fascination as he moved slowly through the water, looking for his prey and then pouncing….. just like I did with my camera, except I wasn’t in the water, of course.  I caught the whole sequence of him stalking, going into the water, pulling out the fish, and then eating it rather quickly in what seemed to be one gulp.
