Salamander and Lunch...!

We spent our last day in the USA at Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington DC - our flight home was in the late evening so we had a day to fill before going to the airport.

There was lots of blip fodder, although as it was Memorial Day and the weather was gorgeous, the zoo was pretty crowded making photograhy difficult. I've settled on this photo taken in the amphibian house; I was hoping that I'd actually see lunch being captured and eaten but the salamander didn't seem to be in any hurry so in the end I gave up waiting (we didn't want to miss the flight!!)   :)
