Lizard War!

Moira and I had the pleasure of watching lizards this afternoon.  Florida is home to about 30 different lizards.  This is the common Brown Anole.  They are very territorial.  Especially males….why is that not surprising!!! He is either showing off to us by extending his dewlap or he is telling this Green Anole (extra photo) to stay off his fence!  The Anole lizards communicate with their body.  It is a  language of head bobbing, push ups or the Dewlap extending.    Moira and I enjoyed our time snuggling on the lounge chair and being entertained by  lizards!  So glad I don't need to communicate through push ups!
