The fallen

We don't live far from the historic Mitcham Cemetery. Today was our special guided tour of the cemetery for History Month of May in the Mitcham Council area.

About 20 of us joined the group to commemorate the Fallen of World War 1.  There were too many sad stories, and such a terrible waste of young lives, or lives shortened by the war.

This is the headstone for two brothers, the Choats, who died in France on the same day.  It was at Pozierre.
