Standing guard....

....I had off today & thought I'd sleep late, but I woke up at 0545 & couldn't go back to sleep. The light was lovely & since the weather people predicted rain for later today (which was spot on, as it's raining as I type this), Tom & I went over to the lagoon at Grant Park "to see what we could see"! 
There were lots of mallards, the baby ducks which have grown quite a bit from last week, as well as all kinds of baby geese--so cute at this stage! I've put some other shots into the extras!   
I'm actually glad it's raining again, as it gives me an excuse not to work on my weeding!!      :))
