Platanaceae

A beautiful avenue of Plane Trees that look just as impressive at this time of year as they do when they are in full leaf.  This one is in Saxonwold but there are many roads like this throughout the city.  Johannesburg is actually considered to be an urban forest as it has over 6 million trees.
 
Spent a lot of time out of the office today which is always nice but not when you have to do catch up when you eventually get back there.
 

The joys of load-shedding awaits us at home this evening. Just as well I made a couple of pots of soup at the weekend, easy to heat up on our camping gas stoves.  Now the only challenge is to get Shiv not to be afraid of the multiple LED lamp that will soon be getting switch on!
