Local Windmill, Goudswaard, Korendijk, Zuid Hol.

Had a good day at work and left in time to drive around and enjoy the countryside and the myriad blip possibilities at each and every turn.  This windmill, though, was not on the agenda.  Thanks to the fact that the main dike road in Piershil is undergoing road repair work, I had to detour and then missed the connecting road going to the A29 and found myself in Goudswaard, where the windmill was facing just where it was convenient to shoot.  There were two little girls going out to play and I asked if it was okay to shoot it ... of course!  That is how I ended up with a windmill shot again.

Yesterday's poppy is actually as large as hubby's fist.  There are now four of these fist-sized blooms near the peach tree and it looks like more are coming.  Last year we had a couple of pale pink ones as large as breakfast plates, way too heavy for their own stems.  Don't know if they'll appear this year.

Thanks for dropping by yesterday!
