Stairs to bed

Over the last couple of days there has been much debating over whether it is a good idea for terminally ill to have the right to end their life. This afternoon after debate, the Members of Scottish Parliament defeated the controversial Assisted Suicide (Scotland) Bill which would allow those with terminal or life-shortening illnesses to obtain help to end their suffering.

The stairs here remind me that there are many who no longer have the ability  to climb up or down stairs to or from their own beds. For some their quality of life has diminished but it is still worth living.  For others ...…??  Personally I hope I am never in that situation and feel that life is not worth living.
