45 degrees in Cairo!
Temperatures reached 45 degrees today here in Cairo and a sandstorm in parts of the city made it even more unbearable for some. I wasn't affected by the sandstorm but the heat truly felt like a furnace!
I'd promised myself this morning that I needed to get something other than a taxi grab of a bus stop for my blip and so when this teacher and young learners' assistant walked into the teachers' room dressed like this I grabbed my iPad. I think it was something to do with a young learners' project and I'm sure the wee ones loved them!
A super busy day in which I was almost kidnapped by trainees, who bombarded me with questions for the first assignment - due in tomorrow. Our Egyptian trainees are appalled at the thought of having to resubmit anything and this causes them huge amounts of stress. We tell them again and again that we aren't looking for perfection, but development, but it goes in one ear and out the other. I see tears and tantrums on the horizon!
