Colourful Croydon?

Skyscraper in Saffron Square, West Croydon. Taken from the bus.  Spent most of the day on buses travelling between West Dulwich and Croydon to check out a cattery which will be nearer than having to take Rosie to Oxford again when Mum goes away at the end of this month.
When I take the cat we'll go by car but today we were on the bus. I have to say, I find Croydon completely incomprehensible.  Seemed to see this skyscraper endlessly from all different directions. 
Hidden away amid all the modern development (about most of which the least said the better, I got the impression) there's a rather nice Victorian town centre.  We stopped off there for the loo and a bite to eat in the Library cafe.
